Things:
1. I have extreme panic attacks every time I head to Columbia for fear of running into a certain former roommate who I believe tends to lurk there. I walk close to hedges and wear my glasses so I can clearly survey my surroundings only to remind myself that I was there FIRST, and so in the divorce I have rightful claim to Columbia unless he should re-enroll there at a later date, at which point he is permitted to glare at me for trespassing. Of course, that thought still doesn’t keep my heart rate from skyrocketing when I head above 96th. I’m 75% sure he walked past me at one point, but I was deep in conversation and only saw a head turned my way and a familiar jacket pass through my periphery. Then again, I see him constantly all over the place because brains are tricky things.
2. Halloween was my favorite holiday and I guess when it doesn’t fall on a weekday it will be again, but this year I just had dinner with one friend, caught up with a friend I ran into on campus, and watched a documentary…it was just a good day that could have been any day, except people were dressed crazy all over and some bratty kids left candy wrappers all over my floor. Being an adult is kind of bland sometimes.
3. It was a good decision to paint my apartment without permission. Craigslist is full of people who will paint it back for me for cheap one day, and until then I will bask in the blue glow of my kitchen.
4. It is November and that means WIZARDING WORLD OF HARRY POTTER! Now why can’t I dream of that instead of people yelling at me for betraying them?
